Little Brother blog 3

In the next section Marcus and his friends are arrested for suspicious behavior. I sort of suspected this because I knew this was going to be about Marcus fighting the government. He needs to have some sort of motivation to do that. They also meet their interrogater, Carrie Johnstone. She is the main "bad guy" in this book. She sort of reminds me of my sister, who's name is also Carrie. Then only 3 of the 4 friends get released, so now Marcus will be very motivated to find his friend.

Little Brother Post 1

My internet wasn't working yesterday but my dad fixed it this morning. Maybe I could get a small extension? Anyways, about the book Little Brother, I think this book is going to be really good. I like the theme of teenagers fighting the government. So far, the author is just setting the scene and showing characterization. Marcus, the main character, is a rebel and is really good at hacking and getting into trouble. When he is online he uses the name W1n5t0n and he has done some major things that could get him into serious trouble if it got traced back to him. We also meet his best friend Darryl, who is similar to Marcus.

Postcards post 5

The last section of the book (really the last 1/3 because i had a lot left to read) is about Jacob, and his brothers in hiding. This part is the climax, which to me isn't really that exciting. Jacob keeps going on dates and getting his money stolen. At the end, the flashbacks and the present stories come together when Jacob meets Geertrui on her deathbed. She reveals how her family and Jacob's family are linked. Geertrui tended to Jacob's grandfather after the war. This part was a releif for me because I had no idea why they were telling two different narrations. Overall, I didn't think this was a very good book for me because I like books with action and that make sense.

Postcards post 4 (absent)

This section of the book was not as interesting as the others. First of all, there is no action whatsoever. The only part that is somewhat interesting is when the german soldier is killed but after that everything got very dull. Flashbacks are starting to be more frequent, which adds to my confusion. Mostly what happens is Jacob living with Geertrui. It shows how he is growing up. I hope the ending of the book will be more interesting than this section.
